Valencia clinches 7th King's Cup

Valencia rescued a miserable season by claiming its seventh King's Cup with a 3-1 final win over Getafe on Wednesday.
Ronald Koeman's side, who has been dragged into the relegation battle after three successive league defeats, went 2-0 up within 12 minutes, thanks to goals from midfielder Juan Mata and center back Alexis.
Getafe, who lost to Sevilla in last season's final, was thrown a lifeline when Esteban Granero scored from the spot on the stroke of halftime. But Valencia struck again, substitute Fernando Morientes heading in with seven minutes left.Juve defeats Parma
David Trezeguet and Raffaele Palladino scored first-half goals to lead Juventus over Parma 3-0 in a rescheduled Serie A game on Wednesday.
Parma midfielder Stefano Morrone headed in an own goal in the 76th to make it 3-0.
The win gives Juventus 64 points in the Italian league and solidifies the team's hold on third place. Inter is first with 75 points followed by AS Roma at 71. Fiorentina is fourth with 56.
In an Italian Cup first-leg semifinal, Francesco Totti scored in the 46th and Roma defeated Catania 1-0. Inter and Lazio played to 0-0 in the other semifinal. The return legs will be on May 7 with the final on May 24. Bayern closer to title
Luca Toni scored twice in the second half to cap Bayern Munich's 3-1 comeback win at Eintracht Frankfurt and move his team another step closer to the Bundesliga title on Wednesday.
Bayern trailed on a goal from Benjamin Kohler but Daniel van Buyten tied the score in the second half before Toni secured the win and brought his league-leading tally to 20 goals.
With five games remaining, Bayern protected its 10-point lead and has 63. Werder Bremen was second and Schalke third with 51. The latter pair won on Tuesday.
Elsewhere, Arminia Bielefeld edged Bayer Leverkusen 1-0, VfB Stuttgart dumped Nuremberg 3-0, Borussia Dortmund lost at home to Hannover 3-1, and Karlsruhe won at Duisburg 1-0.PSG prevails
Pedro Pauleta's 28th goal in 23 French Cup games earned Paris St. Germain a 1-0 quarterfinal win over amateurs Carquefou on Wednesday.
PSG was joined in the last four by Ligue 2 Sedan, who ousted Ligue 1 title contenders Girondins Bordeaux 4-3 on penalties after a goalless draw.
On Tuesday, Ligue 1 leader Olympique Lyon recorded a 1-0 win over Metz while Amiens defeated Ligue 2 rivals Dijon 1-0.Celtic shocks Rangers
