In the quarterfinals, Wozniak outlasted Tamira Paszek of Austria 6-3, 3-6, 7-6 (9-7), Petrova defeated Alona Bondarenko 4-6, 6-3, 7-6 (5), Vesnina eliminated Dominika Cibulkova 7-5, 6-7 (5), 6-3 and Wozniacki prevailed over Daniela Hantuchova of Slovakia 6-2, 6-2. Ferrero-Serra final Spain's former world number one Juan Carlos Ferrero reached his first final in 15 months on Saturday when he defeated top seeded Russian Igor Andreev 7-6 (11-9), 6-3 in the Casablanca ATP claycourt tournament semifinals. In Sunday's final, Ferrero, without a title in over five years, will tackle French fifth seed Florent Serra who enjoyed a 6-4, 6-4 victory over third-seeded Spaniard Albert Montanes. It's Jankovic vs. Navarro World number four Jelena Jankovic beat Spain's Anabel Medina Garrigues 7-5, 6-2 to reach the final of the Andalucia Tennis Championships on Saturday. The Serbian second seed will be aiming to win her first title of the season when she meets Carla Suarez Navarro in Sunday's final. Spanish fifth seed Navarro battled past Romania's Sorana Cirstea 6-2 6-7 6-2 in the other semifinal. Hewitt in semis Lleyton Hewitt beat Guillermo Garcia-Lopez 6-3, 6-4 on Friday to reach the semifinals of the US Men's Clay Court Championships at River Oaks Country Club. Hewitt served for the match in the eighth game but was broken. Hewitt squandered three match points in the 10th game before securing his 497th career victory. The three other semifinal players have a combined 122 career victories. In other matches, Bjorn Phau beat Tommy Haas 6-3, 3-6, 6-3; Evgeny Korolev beat Guillermo Canas 2-6, 6-3, 6-4 and Wayne Odesnik outlasted John Isner 7-5, 3-6, 7-6 (5). In Saturday's semifinals, Odesnik will face Phau in the first match, with Hewitt to face Korolev. Federer marries Vavrinec Roger Federer says he has married longtime friend Mirka Vavrinec. Federer announced on his Web site Saturday that he and Vavrinec had wed in a small ceremony in Basel, Switzerland, earlier in the day.
