Argentina's president Cristina Fernandez de Kirchner on Tuesday patronized Agfund's awards ceremony for development projects, in the presence of Prince Turki Bin Talal Bin Abdul Aziz. Merseiris Minafra Patley, a member of Agfund's prize committee, highlighted the efforts of Prince Talal Bin Abdul Aziz, the President of Agfund, and said it has contributed to the implementation of more than 1,000 projects in several countries. Argentina's Deputy Foreign Minister Victorious Takishiti said the goals of Agfund conform to the policies of Argentina's government, which aim at easing the sufferings of members of the society. He highlighted the significance of this year's prize, which is about human trafficking, saying that this phenomenon is no longer accepted in this century. He called for international cooperation for fighting this phenomenon. In a speech, Prince Turki Bin Talal Bin Abdul Aziz, who spoke on behalf of his father, the president of Agfund, praised the economic and political plans of the Argentinean government, as well as its policies on the development of women and civil society and its childhood program. __
