The National Society for Human Rights (NSHR) said that it has received 242 complaints against the court system in Saudi Arabia, according to a new report. The complaints were filed against General Court judges, the Court of Grievances, the Commission for Investigation and Prosecution (CIP), Commercial Settlement Committee, Civil Rights, and the Labor Court. The complaints have been lodged for delay in processing paperwork, mistreatment of judges and travel ban pending case settlement. Many have objected to verdicts handed down to them, asking for re-trial. The complaints have come from 171 men and 71 women, mostly Saudis, followed by Egyptians Yemenis, and Syrians. Many other complaints have been filed by nationals of Bangladesh, Bahrain, Sudan, England, Afghanistan, and Eritrea. The court system in the Makkah region was the most badly hit by 86 complaints, followed by Riyadh region by 39, the Eastern Province by 29, the Jizan region by 27, and the Asir region13, in addition to other regions across the Kingdom.
