It is the first time for “CEO Middle East” to hold such occasion in Saudi Arabia and Rotana Holding is the first to receive such award. The CEO Magazine awards are to celebrate the success and achievement of leading companies and their innovative projects in different business fields. Alwaleed's private investments in the media include Rotana, LBC and Alresala channel. Rotana Holding is 100 percent owned by him. Rotana was launched in 2003 and expanded at a very fast pace. Rotana is also known as the only TV company to produce and also air its programs on its own channel.
