Fluor, Saudi Acrylic ink deal

Fluor Corporation has signed a contract with Saudi Acrylic Monomer Company to act as the project management consultant on an acrylic acid plant project in Jubail. Fluor was also awarded a process design package contract for the project. Scheduled to begin production in 2012, the plant will produce 250,000 tons of acrylic acid and related esters. Saudi Acrylic Monomer Company is a joint venture between Rohm and Haas Company, National Petrochemical Industrialization Company, (Tasnee) and Sahara Olefins Company.
