Police have detained three men after a Bangladeshi worker was poisoned and strangled before being robbed of his possessions. The three Bangladeshis of Burmese origin, who had traveled from Jeddah to Jizan to commit the murder and theft, spiked the man's drink with a large quantity of an anti-hypertensive drug, resulting in him losing consciousness. Once incapacitated, the three bound the man with a rope and strangled him to death before robbing him of the SR700 in his wallet and three sets of land phones and fleeing the scene of the crime. Once police in Jizan discovered the incident the following day they set about tracing the perpetrators to Jeddah, where police acted on the information provided which led to the arrest of the three alleged killers in Kilo14. All three admitted to drugging and attacking their victim.
