Watani became the first team to exit the Saudi Premier League after a 2-2 draw against Al-Ahli at the King Khaled Sports City in Tabuk on Wednesday. The home side took an early lead through Ibrahim Al-Kabai before Badr Al-Kharashi leveled the game for Al-Ahli of Jeddah in the 33rd minute. After the break, Taiser Al-Jassim scored the second for Al-Ahli but a late goal from Makhete Diop earned Al-Watani the equalizer. Despite the draw, Al-Watani remained in the bottom of the league with 12 points and will represent Tabuk in the First Division next season. In Riyadh, Mohammed Al-Amri netted a 90th-minute goal to seal a 1-0 victory for Abha over Al-Nasr. The match was stopped for about 20 minutes due to a sandstorm that hit the stadium midway through the second half. The win earned Abha its 16th point and it needs to win the next game against Al-Shabab to secure a place among the top teams in the league. In another match, Al-Raed crushed Al-Wehdah 6-3 at King Abdullah Sports city to keep its hopes alive in the league. Al-Raed has 18 points, and sits one place ahead of Abha.
