Darat Safeya Binzagr will organize the annual art competition for children and young people in Jeddah this month. Hisham Al-Ayesh, the manager of the museum and competition coordinator told Saudi Gazette that the competition is open to contestants between the age of 10 and 15 years, and only acrylic, permanent markers and wax crayons are allowed. “Every year we designate particular themes to the competition and our main aim is to improve the creative intelligence of our youth and also direct them to visual arts like artwork because it expands their cultural sense,” said Al-Ayesh. The theme for this year's competition is on ‘Al Redaa' - the national dress of all nations - and will allow participants the freedom to choose what they wish to create.
