A man is being investigated for engaging in sexual relations and blackmailing a 24-year-old girl and her younger brother over a period of eight years. Al-Riyadh newspaper reports that the Commission for Promotion of Virtue and Prevention of Vice (the Hai'a) kept the man under surveillance after receiving information from the girl, and arrested him while in the company of her younger brother at the victims' house. The Hai'a seized his mobile telephone which reportedly contained numerous incriminating photographs and video recordings. The female victim described herself to authorities as “young and naïve” when the 32-year-old man forced her to have sexual relationships with him. She said that he took thousands of indecent pictures in order to blackmail her. The blackmailer also won the confidence of the girl's 17-year-old brother by taking him to amusement parks and other places of entertainment, which eventually led to sexual relations. The blackmailer then further exploited the boy to bring his sister whenever he asked. According to Al-Riyadh, the younger brother said he was too frightened to disobey the man's demands in case he published the photographs of himself and his sister. The accused man is being investigated by the Department for Investigation and Prosecution.
