Ittihad remained two points ahead of Al-Hilal in the Saudi Premier League after the two clubs recorded victories over their rivals Al-Wehdah and Al-Ittifaq respectively on Saturday.
Their last match in the league will decide which side will bag the crown when Al-Hilal hosts Al-Ittihad in Riyadh on April 12.
The two sides have already secured their spots in the next AFC Champions League where the top four Saudi League teams will represent the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
Al-Ittihad, which tops the table with 52 points, came out of the King Abdul Aziz Sports City with a 3-1 win over home side Al-Wehdah in Makkah, Saturday.
Moroccan Hicham Aboucherouane put Al-Ittihad ahead six minutes into the game. Al-Wehdah's defender Tariq Al-Moualad scored an own goal to double the visitors' lead in the 63rd minute following a solo effort by Mohammed Noor.
Ten minutes after the goal, Essa Al-Muhiani reduced the margin but a late spot goal by Aboucherouane sealed the win for the Jeddah side.
At Prince Faisal Bin Fahd Stadium in Riyadh, Christian Wilhelmsson and striker Yasser Al-Qahtani earned Al-Hilal a 2-0 win to keep the team on track with 50 points in the second spot.
Sweden's Wilhelmsson netted the opener in the 13th minute before Al-Qahtani doubled the lead two minutes after the break with a short-range shot.
In another match, Al-Shabab won 2-1 over Al-Nasr thanks to goals by Marcelo Camacho (first-half) and Abdul Aziz Al-Saran (10 minutes after the break).
Abdul Rahman Al-Bishi scored the consolation goal from the spot for Al-Nasr eight minutes from time.
In Jeddah, Al-Ahli recorded a 3-2 over Al-Raed in a match held at the Prince Abdullah Al-Faisal Stadium.
Waleed Suliman took the home side in front in the seventh minute before Brazilian Leandro Sena equalized for Al-Raed from the spot in the 24th minute.
Felipe Campos' second half goal made it 2-1 for Al-Raed but Hassan Al-Raheb leveled the game in the 64th minute before defender Waleed Al-Jahdali sealed the win for Al-Ahli nine minutes later.
