Qura Women's Charity in Makkah is organizing a two-week festival under the patronage of Princess Jawahir Bint Majid Bin Abdul Aziz to promote reading, focusing on encouraging the practice in young children. “The festival hopes to help develop children's reading skills at the pre-school age and in the first stages of education,” said the charity's director Ehsan Bint Saleh Makki. “The festival is hosting a book fair, workshops on light reading and silent reading skills, and techniques on how to extract information and critical reading,” she said.
