More than 350 students, girls and boys, from Saudi Arabia and other Arab countries are competing in Jordan today in First Lego, the biggest robot contest in the world. Students, between the ages of 9 and 16, are taking part in this annual event organized by the National Center for Educational Robotics, Ministry of Education, Jordan and the King Abdullah the Second Center for Design and Development. The contest will be held in Hussain Bin Talal Palace for Conferences located on the shores of the Dead Sea. “Four Saudi students who were finalists in the national competition will participate in the contest,” said Nawaf Bani Hamad, the supervisor of the gifted students' program, adding that “this contest aims to provide students with intellectual and scientific opportunities while encouraging them to practice cooperative education by working in teams.”
