day workshop in which 6-to-10-year-old children engaged in technical and scientific experiments under the banner, “Kids design”, concluded here on Friday. The aim of the project was to create and develop the technical skills, artistic ability and creativity of children from an early age so that the new generation from the very beginning has the ability to create innovative designs by using scientific techniques and technical experiments. The kids were supervised by female experts and specialists. The importance of children having fun while learning through artistic and scientific applications was emphasized. “The main objective of the project was to give children an opportunity to conduct a number of scientific experiments, and verify for themselves the elements and the mechanism of shape and the different effects,” said Mamdouh Salim, Executive Director of the Media company, the main organizer of the program. “The program was part of Media's commitment to put forward new ideas and initiatives for the development of the artistic skills and creativity of Saudi children,” he said. He said that the workshop also gave the children a chance to learn the basic principles of design and the coordination of colors and material by engaging in entertaining projects.
