Prince Faisal Bin Abdullah Bin Muhammad, Minister of Education, has ordered the formation of a higher committee to supervise the unification of the ministry's policies and work procedures, reflecting the pressing need for a uniform policy in the area of boys and girls education. The committee has been tasked with studying periodic reports which will be submitted to it on educational issues besides approving the general educational policies and work procedures in the girls and boys educational sectors. The committee is headed by Deputy Minister of Education, Faisal Bin Abdul Rahman Bin Muamar, and the committee's members include Noura Bint Abdullah Al-Fayez, Deputy Minister of Education for Girls Education, and Kahled Bin Abdullah Al-Sabti, Undersecretary for Planning and Development. Meanwhile, Prince Faisal who is also Head of the National Committee for Childhood is set to open in Jeddah on April 4 an Arab seminar entitled “Arab Media Strategy for Children and Surrounding Environment.” Muhammed Bin Abdullah Al-Gadier, Assistant Head of the committee, said the five-day seminar is organized by the Arab League pointing out that a delegation from the League is taking part in the seminar besides representatives from local, regional and international organizations.
