Three Sri Lankans who stole a giant truck trailer and sold it on have been arrested after police had the men under surveillance. One of the three used his position as truck driver at a company to steal the trailer and sell it on to a Pakistani man, with the help of his two companions and a Syrian mechanic who changed the features of the trailer to avoid detection. The trailer was later sold on again by the Pakistani to a company. The driver's company failed to notice the disappearance of the trailer for some time, until they reviewed their records which identified the last driver to use it. The Sri Lankan driver was arrested and later released due to insufficient evidence. Police kept the man under surveillance and when he met up with his two companions the three were taken for questioning, leading them to reveal the truth of the theft. The trailer has since been returned to its original owner.
