Saudi Arabia's entry in the Guinness Book to be as often as possible, say executives

If things go according to plans, Saudi Arabia will make unparalleled entries in the Guinness Book of World Records on a yearly basis.
At the official launch of the biggest bottle of shampoo in the world – with 4,000 liters content of “Herbal Essences” and measuring 4.8m long – at the Hyperpanda store in Andalus Mall in Jeddah on Thursday, Dr. Mohammad Amin Kashgari, president and chief executive officer of Al Azizia Panda United Co, told the Saudi Gazette that they “plan to have it every year” should willing partners be found to support and sponsor their avant-garde ideas.
The latest world-record undertaking was a result of collaboration between Ismail Abu Dawood Trading Company (the official distributor of Procter & Gamble products in Saudi Arabia) and Hyperpanda.
Introducing a new pioneering project involves not only meticulous planning and preparations, but fund and coordination, too, he said.
Other executives said that with the pace of economic growth Saudi Arabia is witnessing at present, frequent entry in the Guinness Book would further advance its cause.
Alkarim A. Rajwani, general manager/vice president of P&G and Modern Products Company, stands behind the idea of regular annoucement of endeavors worthy of the Guinness Book's recognition. He told the Saudi Gazette that their company would back one enterprising venture “every two to three years.”
He added that “in the Arabian Peninsula, P&G has always enjoyed strong support from and close partnerships with local government authorities and business leaders.”
In 2003, Panda made it to the Guinness Book when it launched the biggest pyramid-shaped box with Tide.
Commenting on the new feat of Al Azizia Panda United Co., Montasser A. Al-Rashidy, senior account manager of Afkar International for Public Relations, said the future of the company looks very promising.
The business acumen and unequaled commitment of the Al Azizia Panda Group to give the best to the people augured well not only for the company but for their customers and the general population as well. __
