King Abdullah, Custodian of the Tow Holy Mosques, launched the opening of 14th session of the General Conference of the Association of Arab Universities in Riyadh on Sunday. King Abdullah delivered a speech in which he thanked Naif University for Security Sciences for awarding him the honorary doctorate for security sciences saying that he would accept it “on behalf of our brave martyrs, and the heroes standing bravely defending the sanctuaries, security, and the safety of this precious land.” In his speech, the King said “crime begins in sick, deviant minds. The crime of terrorism is particularly born in the worst of these minds. When we stand against terrorism, we should stand at the same time against the ideology that turns deceived youths into tools of killing and destruction.” He tasked Naif University with countering the deviant ideology. The King concluded: “My brothers, Islam is the religion of moderation. History proved that extremists were eliminated and moderation came out victoriously. Those noble people that had followed their victorious leader, the founder of the Kingdom King Abdul Aziz, during his establishment of a country that rules in accordance with Qur'an and Sunna, will stand as a great barrier against the devil's followers.” __
