The Health Affairs Management on Sunday ordered the closure of eight illegal pharmacies and medical centers in different locations of the city for operating without proper licenses. Mahmoud Abduljawad, a senior official in Jeddah Health Affairs Department, said these pharmacies and medical centers were given ample time to renew their licenses. “We extended all facilities to them in this regard,” he said. Health authorities pay regular visits to different clinics, pharmacies and medical centers around Jeddah to check on any violations. “We work round the clock to report any violations in the private and governmental sector,” added Abduljawad.
