The General Authority for Civil Aviation (GACA) on Saturday signed an agreement with Qatar General Authority for Civil Aviation to improve cooperation between the two countries. The new agreement aims to improve air transportation services and make them beneficial for different strata of society. “By this agreement, we aim to develop rules and regulations and facilitate air transportation procedures between Saudi Arabia and Qatar,” said Ayman Bin Baker Naseef, supervisor of Central Department for Information and Public Relations in the GACA. The agreement focuses on increasing cooperation in the oil sector and developing the operational framework. “A new contract has been signed between the two countries to increase the number of flights and improve the operation of air cargo,” he said. The agreement includes developing an operating pattern to serve different types of passengers and building up marketing alliances between the two national carriers to optimize the investment of transport rights.
