AS another academic year comes to a close, Al-Shoa'a International School celebrated its 2nd Annual Achievement Day here to honor its young achievers. Uzma Shakeel, wife of Shakeel Ahmad, Indian Consul Education and Culture, was the chief guest. Certificates and awards were handed over to children for excellence in academics and sports. This was followed by a graduation ceremony for the students of KG III. The tiny tots held their audience spellbound as they paraded before them in their colorful gowns before they came up to the stage to receive their certificates. Shagufta Ehtesham, headmistress of the school, delivered the welcome address, followed by a message from the chairman of the school, Dr. Hajjad Al-Ghamdi, reiterating his commitment to provide quality education to children. The annual exhibition and the slide show which summed up the various activities undertaken by the students throughout the year were a huge success. __
