A Saudi academic and researcher is setting up a historical and archeological research center for the study of the time of the Prophet Mohammed (pbuh). Mohammad Abdullah Al-Subhi, a history professor at Madina's Islamic University, says the aim is to document archeological sites and artifacts alongside their related stories to integrate them into research. “People spread purported historical information about the names of archeological sites mentioned in the Sunnah without checking their accuracy,” Al-Subhi said. “This lack of documented historical information makes it imperative that universities play their role in serving society by providing correct knowledge.
