Hashim and Rihan bag Premier Flight crown

Hashim Haleem and Rihan Asfand won the Premier Flight crown of the Winter Doubles Badminton Tournament which was organized by Badminton Federation in collaboration with Rastanura Badminton Group, ARAMCO at the Najma School Gym here.
Over 250 players of various nationalities from Bahrain, Jeddah, Riyadh and Eastern Province took part in this mega event in 8 levels . The events conducted were men's doubles, women's doubles and combo doubles. The standard of the game showed marked improvement with the participation of new players from Riyadh and Eastern Province.
In the spectacular Premier Flight final, Hashim Haleem and Rihan Asfand won over George PuthenMadhom and Eapen K. Mathews to clinch the Winter Doubles top level Trophy.
In Championship 1, the Indonesian pair of Agung Rupadi and Dudi Sujatmoko beat the Riyadh pair of Sajith Tazath and Shaju George.
In a well fought match in Championship 2, Neil George and Gokul Natarajan beat Varghese Mathew and Rakesh N.
In the women's top flight, Jessy George and Saadia Khan of Rastanura Badminton Club emerged winners in the round robin format. Mixed doubles top flight winners were Hashim Haleem and Jessy George against Eapen K.Mathews and Grace Babu.
Those who won double were Hashim Haleem, Neil George, Joy Dela Cruz , Janet J. Cruz and Jessy George.
Mementos were presented to Aramco Recreation Dept . and RTBG for their patronage to the tournament. Trophies to the winners were presented by George PuthenMadhom, Eapen Tarakan, Sajan Babu, K.P.George and GCC badminton champion Suneet Sebastian.
