Fikr and Al-Sahel schools will take part on Thursday in the qualifying school competition being held in the Kingdom under the theme “Designing robot, first Lego.” The competition has been organized by the National Talent Center for Training, a strategic partner of the King Abdul Aziz Foundation. Dar Al-Fikr and Al-Sahel schools, which won in the designing robot competition on March 5, will be vying for a chance to travel to the United States for the international robot competition. “The technical research and field work awards were given to Dar Al-Fikr, and the best group work award was won by Al-Sahel, although Dar Al-Fikr had the highest overall score,” said Mazen Mohsen Baroom, general manager of Dar Al-Fikr school. “The competition depends primarily on collective action and focuses on training students to learn through a series of projects,” he added. The four main topics are design, mechanics, programming, and scientific research and collective action, said Baroom.
