Within the cultural activities of Al-Janadriya's 24th national festival for heritage and culture, a symposium entitled “dialogue of cultures between the West and Islam” was held on Friday. Dr. Saleh Bin Homaid, Chairman of the Supreme Judicial Council, submitted a working paper dealing with the dialogue of cultures between the West and Islam. He highlighted the initiative of King Abdullah, Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, on dialogue between followers of religions and cultures, commending its religious, humanitarian and noble objectives including the definition of Islam, communication between cultures and civilizations, achievement of peaceful coexistence and social security among the peoples of the world as well as suppression of extremism.
