Authorities are investigating the circumstances surrounding the death on Wednesday of a National Guard soldier, with initial investigations suggesting he committed suicide. The only witness to the incident reported hearing a gun shot coming from a car and then finding his soldier colleague dead inside. The gun had been placed between his legs with the barrel pointing upwards at his neck. The soldier's uncle said his nephew's body would remain in the morgue until investigations were complete.
