Health authorities in Al-Laith are investigating claims from a resident that a mobile medical team dispensing anti-malaria pills caused seven members of his family to fall ill. In Al-Haqba, 90 km to the east of Al-Laith, a medical team carried out tests on the family of Ali Hamid Al-Zabeedi two days ago. Al-Zabeedi says his family members were given anti-malaria medicine but a few hours later were rushed to hospital after they developed fever and started vomiting.
