Police have passed seven children into the care of their uncle in Madina after they alleged that their father had abused and beaten them. A spokesman for Madina Police said the children, who are aged between seven and 13, had reported their father alleging maltreatment, but added that no signs of violence had been found. The case has been passed to the Social Protection Committee for investigation. The children reportedly contacted the police while their father was asleep. Fatima Daud, Head of the Social Protection Team at the Health Directorate in Madina, said a committee has been assigned to investigate the accusations and produce a report for the police.
