A Saudi man, 60, committed suicide by shooting himself in the chest outside his home in Dammam on Thursday afternoon, authorities said. The police received a report on the incident from the man's son, said Col. Yousef Al-Qahtani, spokesman of the Eastern Province Police Department. An investigation team was immediately dispatched to the scene, he said. The man was found lying dead next to his gun. It has not yet been determined what caused the man to commit suicide. The incident came two days after a 29-year-old girl killed herself by taking an overdose of drugs in Qatif.
