Five students at adult educational centers have confessed to drug addiction following an awareness campaign run by the female department of the General Directorate for the Combating of Drugs. The students, all from educational centers for the over-30s, came forward after a series of lectures aimed at raising awareness of drugs and attributed their addictions to “ignorance.” A program called “Protecting them is our responsibility” directed at student counselors in intermediate schools is also scheduled to begin on March 7.
