Ahli and Al-Noor cruised to the final of the 11th Asian Clubs Championship after beating their rivals Al-Sadd of Qatar and Kuwait's Al-Fehaheel respectively here. The two Saudi finalists will meet Wednesday in the final match of the 15-team competition being hosted by Al-Ahli of Jeddah at the Indoor Hall of the General Presidency of Youth Welfare (GPYW). Al-Fehaheel and Al-Sadd will play for the third place the same day before the final while the other teams compete for their rankings on Tuesday. In the semifinal Monday Al-Noor put on a brilliant second-half performance to secure a final berth as the Eastern Province club beat Al-Fehaheel 34-24. The Kuwaiti team failed to hold on to its one-goal lead in the first half after its players lost their cool and committed errors also to lose control. Al-Noor had earlier beaten Al-Fehaheel 29-27 in their first-round Group D clash. Ali Al-Eliwat, Al-Noor head coach, said tension among the Kuwaiti players helped his side secure the win. “After they lost their control we drew level the game and then extended our lead thanks to the big effort played by my boys,” Al-Eliwat said. In the second match, Egyptian imports Ahmed Al-Ahmar and Mohammed Abu Riash stormed after the break to earn Al-Ahli a 30-23 victory over Al-Sadd. After leading 12-10 in the first half, Al-Sadd was hit hard when it lost its goalkeeper to a red card for a dangerous tackle against Al-Ahli's Bandr Al
