Liverpool dropped more crucial points in the race for the Premier League title when it drew 1-1 with visiting Manchester City on Sunday. Liverpool was trailing after a deflected shot by Craig Bellamy until Dirk Kuyt equalized with 12 minutes left as the home side drew for the fourth time in six Premier League matches. The result left Liverpool seven points behind defending champion Manchester United, which beat Blackburn 2-1 Saturday for its 10th straight league win. If Liverpool fails to win its first league title since 1990, it will likely rue the number of games it has drawn - which already stands at a league high 10 from 26 matches. With captain Steven Gerrard missing because of injury, Liverpool was mostly disjointed Sunday and City striker Robinho troubled Liverpool throughout with his pace and trickery. Manchester City dropped to 10th place with 32 points, pushed down a spot by Fulham's 2-0 win over last-place West Bromwich Albion. Fulham hit the frame of the goal three times and Bobby Zamora shot over the bar from close range before he finally put the home team ahead in the 61st. Andrew Johnson ducked to flick on John Pantsil's right-wing cross and Zamora squeezed between West Brom's two central defenders to tap in from inside the box. Johnson made it 2-0 from a rebound after goalkeeper Scott Carson had saved a shot by Zamora, while Fulham ‘keeper Mark Schwarzer saved a late penalty to preserve his team's two-goal lead. Sixth-place Everton drew 0-0 at Newcastle in Sunday's other game. Deportivo holds Valencia In Madrid, Adrian “Piscu” Lopez scored a late goal Sunday as Deportivo La Coruna rallied to draw 1-1 against 10-man Valencia, which slipped further out of contention for Champions League qualification with its third straight draw. Piscu headed in a cross at the far post in the 79th minute to equalize three minutes after Valencia striker David Villa was sent-off for a second bookable offense. Villa scored his 19th league goal in the 25th minute after running on to Julian de Guzman's errant back pass before finding space to send a rising shot into the net for his eighth score in as many games. Barcelona leads the league with 60 points, followed by Real Madrid with 53, Sevilla with 44, Villarreal on 41. Valencia and Malaga are next with 39, while Deportivo and Atletico Madrid both have 36. Malaga's bid to finish the season in the Champions League places also got a boost when the promoted club beat Valladolid 3-1. Victory moved Malaga, which has lost only two of its last 14 games, onto 39 points. Also Sunday, Athletic Bilbao drew 1-1 at Getafe, Osasuna beat Numancia 2-0, 10-man Almeria rallied for a 1-1 draw at Recreativo Huelva and Jose Jurado scored in the 88th as Mallorca beat 10-man Racing Santander 1-0. Barcelona lost for the first time since August when it fell to Espanyol 2-1 Saturday, while Real Madrid gained on the leader with a 6-1 rout of Real Betis. Seedorf lifts Milan In Milan, Clarence Seedorf struck a second-half winner to give AC Milan a 1-0 victory over Cagliari in Serie A action on Sunday. The Dutch midfielder pounced after a defensive mix-up in the Cagliari box and sidefooted home from 12 meters in the 65th minute. Though Seedorf's strike proved decisive, England midfielder David Beckham put transfer talk and a recent calf injury behind him and was Milan's most creative player on the day. Fiorentina returned to the Champions League places with a 2-1 win at home to Chievo Verona, whilst Genoa maintained its pressure with a 1-0 win at Napoli. Inter, which beat Bologna on Saturday, leads the standings with 59 points. Juventus, a 2-0 winner at Palermo on Saturday, is second on 50, Milan has 48 in third place and Fiorentina is fourth with 45. Also Sunday, it was: Catania 2, Reggina 0; Lecce 0, Lazio 2; Sampdoria 1, Atalanta 0; and Torino 1, Udinese 0.
