Workers at a bakery in Bahra caused buildings to be evacuated after leaving their ovens aflame while they went to the mosque to pray. Fire services, who forced their way into the locked bakery to tackle the blaze originating from unattended ovens, removed gas pipes to a safe distance and evacuated neighboring buildings as a precaution. The fire was eventually contained, damaging only the bakery, and officials pointed to the “absent mindedness” of the bakers as the cause.
