An exhibition to showcase the achievements of Saudi and Gulf women in economics, culture, health and the fight against unemployment will be held here starting April 19. The First Gulf Women Exhibition is organized by Al-Eman Association for Charity Service, which expects about 2,000 visitors daily till the end of the expo on April 28. The exhibition will reflect the image of Saudi and Gulf women by having several sections showcasing their successful experiences. It will also be a means to make women aware of their contribution in various fields beneficial to society. The exhibition will have a businesswomen's section that will include models of successful working women who will also benefit from the exchange of personal experiences, said Al-Jawhara Al-Anqri, head of Al-Eman Association. The exhibition contains specialized sections for universities, colleges and training centers to identify the academic disciplines and departments available to girls in the Gulf states. “We want to let women know about their opportunities to continue their higher studies in the Gulf countries. We will also have information about training courses available for self-development,” added Al-Anqri. The exhibition will shed light on hospitals and health centers that provide health services and specialized treatment of certain diseases here in the Kingdom and in the GCC countries, she added. “There will be a section for housewives wherein they will show their hand-made products. This section has been specially created because there are women in the Kingdom who have started their own business in order to fight the issue of unemployment,” she said.
