Fehaheel of Kuwait joined the last eight teams in the 11th Asian Clubs Handball Championship with a 29-24 victory over Iraq's Parsi at the Indoor Hall of the General Presidency of Youth Welfare here Tuesday. The Kuwait team earned the qualification after it finished second in the group with seven points, two ahead of Group D leader Al-Noor of Saudi Arabia. In another match, Al-Nawaer of Syria recorded a consolation victory over Al-Sadaqa of Lebanon, 31-26. The win is the first for Syrian team which is already out of the compettition. In the last match of the day, Al-Najma of Bahrain and Al-Karkh of Iraq drew 25-25 in Group C which saw host Al-Ahli and Al-Sadd of Lebanon securing the quarterfinals berth. The last eight teams have been divided into two groups where Al-Ahli of Qatar and its home rival Al-Sadd clash in Group A along with Al-Noor of Saudi Arabia and Al-Sadd of Lebanon. Group B includes Ahli Jeddah, Al-Fehaheel, Al-Qadissiyah of Kuwait and Iranian club Foolaz. Two top teams from each group advance to the semifinal round. The final will be played on Feb. 26. __
