Two men were executed in Saudi Arabia on Thursday, one in Riyadh for smuggling drugs and the other in Abha for murder. The Ministry of Interior issued separate statements on Thursday saying that a Pakistani national was executed in Riyadh after he was convicted of smuggling heroin into the Kingdom, while a Saudi national was executed for killing another Saudi. One statement said that Gul Iaz Muazzam Khan, a Pakistani national, had tried to smuggle heroin that was hidden in his intestines into the Kingdom. He was sentenced to death last month, and was executed on Thursday morning in Riyadh's Dharma district. The other statement said that Abdullah Bin Mohammad Bin Mukaddi Al-Mash'abi Al-Suba'i, a Saudi, was convicted of stabbing to death Fuhaid Bin Misfer Bin Saqr Al-Bishi, another Saudi, in a brawl.
