The Cabinet on Monday approved action on a Saudi-Indian bilateral agreement aimed at operating new airline services. Approved was an amendment to Clause 1 of Article 3 of the Bilateral Agreement for Air Services between Saudi Arabia and India, to read as follows: “Each of the two parties has the right to specify in writing to the other party one or two air carriers for operating the services agreed upon according to the routes' schedule.” The Council also endorsed the addition of a new article to the agreement, including the following clauses: • The operating carriers must have transportation rights according to the routes schedule and operation quota. They must also have the rights to the specified routes and meet all the requirements applying to these arrangements. • The aviation authorities in both countries and the operating routes have the right to ask the marketing lines to submit their schedules for approval.
