A delegation of Saudi economic operators is currently visiting Benin in order to evaluate investment opportunities with the political authorities of the country, APA reported Monday . This visit is part of the vision of the Beninese government to attract foreign donors, including private investment, the ambassador of Benin to Saudi Arabia, Daouda Wabi told APA. During their stay, the Saudi businessmen will discuss not only about business opportunities in Benin, but will also meet the Beninese authorities in charge of economy and officials of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Benin. With a population of just over 8 million and US$570 per capita income, Benin is considered a low-income country. It comes 163rd (out of 179 countries) in the UNDP Human Development Index.
