Police have arrested a Bangladeshi worker who was running a lottery racket using a cafeteria-restaurant as cover. The cafeteria, in the Al-Sabeel District of Jeddah, aroused the suspicion of police due to the unusual number of Asian customers who frequented the establishment. After keeping the location under observation, an investigation team noticed a customer exiting with a sandwich wrapped in green paper which, upon inspection, turned out to be a lottery ticket. Inside the restaurant, police officers found hundreds of lottery tickets along with lists of the names of gamblers, lottery draw dates, printers and a large amount of money.
