Two people were killed and five others injured Saturday morning when their vehicle hit a camel crossing the Coast Highway near Mudailif, 300 km southwest of Jeddah, authorities said. The two were pronounced dead at the scene. The injured were taken to the Qunfudah General Hospital. The Coast Highway linking Jeddah with Jizan has for over four decades stood witness to deadly accidents involving camels trying to cross the highway.
