The AFTPA–JBTP Team Tennis Tournament 2009, dubbed as 2009 AFTPA–Sarawat Super Stores Team Tennis Tournament, was off to a fine start at the Albilad Hotel tennis courts here.
The event has 30 teams in various categories of different nationalities. The opening ceremony was graced by the chairman of AFTPA Baltazar Dela Cruz and the officials. The ceremony started at 6:30 P.M. and it was followed by a match between Soliman Fakeeh Hospital versus the Jeddah Tausug Tennisters and Jeddah Ranao Tennis Club versus Toyota Tennis Club, both in Category C.
A special award was given to Technical Support Center Naval Base for best in uniform in Category LM and Jeddah Ranao Tennis Club in Category B2.
