Two Eritrean thieves were arrested for allegedly vandalizing vehicle glass windows with special chemical powder to steal them, authorities. The thieves preyed on luxury cars across Jeddah by using powder that melts glass windows in seconds. The police monitored a suspicious place where the two operated on vehicles in the parking lot of a private hospital in Faisalyiah District here. As the police were watching the vehicles, the two men were seen throwing the powder on a car glass window which soon broke off. When they sensed that the police were about to arrest them, they ran away, but they were later apprehended. Investigations with the two continue to find about their connection to similar crimes, said 1st Lt. Nawaf Al-Bouq of the Jeddah Police Department.
