Coast Guards in the Eastern Province rescued seven crew members aboard a boat after it had broken down in the Gulf on Tuesday night, authorities said. The rescue operation was coordinated with the industrial security department at Aramco upon a distress signal from the boat, which was safely towed to the harbor, said Col. Muhammad Al-Ghamdi, spokesman of the Coast Guard in the Eastern Province. In a separate incident, the Coast Guards rescued a year-and-a-half baby girl from drowning at the Half Moon Beach, he said. The girl was transferred to the Dhahran Medical Complex.
