French President Nicolas Sarkozy, left, welcomes Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak at the Elysee Palace in Paris, Monday. Mubarak is on a four-day tour of Europe. After discussing with Sarkozy the ongoing efforts to bring about a one-or two-year truce in the Gaza Strip, Mubarak expressed hope for “a return to calm” in the Palestinian territory by next week.
