Riyadh, an expatriate community organization, honored Prof. Syed Abu Zafar, a prominent social worker, poet and writer, for his contribution to literary activities in Saudi Arabia, particularly in Riyadh. A memento shield was presented to him at the recently held program called ‘An evening with a personality' in Riyadh. PWC president, Faiz Al-Najdi, called Prof. Zafar a ‘great achiever'. “We miss the literary club founded by Prof. Zafar in Jeddah which is now based in Riyadh,” said Syed Riaz Bukhari, president of Pakistan Peoples Community – Saudi Arabia. A three-member panel comprising of Ashiq Hussain, Choudhry Rehmat Ali and Syed Nehal Uddin questioned Prof. Zafar on various aspects of his life. Other guests who spoke on the occasion included: Shamshad Siddiqui, Engr. Hesham Syed, Dr. Sadiq Razawi. Dr. Rashid Fazli, Choudhry Bashir Ahmed, Dr. Mansour Memon, Riaz Rathore, Naim Awan, Engr.
