Online Islamic classes by senior scholars from Feb. 21 JEDDAH – Remember we had all been complaining about wanting to learn Islam but didn't know where to go, where to start? Now is the chance to give our excuses a black eye. Al-Qur'an Wa As-Sunnah Society of New York, also known as Albaseerah, is beginning its unique program “Online Intensive Courses (OIC)” from Feb. 21 with the “Aqeedah Course AQ101” taught by Sheikh Abdullah Al-Ghudayan, member of the council of senior scholars and the permanent committee for Islamic research and verdicts, Saudi Arabia. All live lectures are translated part-by-part into English. Albaseerah uses modern web technology that allows students to learn from scholars, trained teaching assistants, and interact with fellow students – right from your computer desk at home. Each course costs about $30 to cover the expenses of the program, as Albaseerah is a non-profit organization. They also have scholarships for genuine students who cannot afford the fee. On top of it all, they promise cash gifts for well-performing students. Albaseerah.org, the organization's website, regularly features live audio lectures by senior scholars, which in the future is expected to turn into live video, Insha Allah. – SGFor more information go to: www.studyislaam.org/oic __
