The board of executive directors of the Islamic Development Bank (IDB) approved on Tuesday new fund amounting to $570.4 million for financing 9 development projects in Iran, Pakistan, Uzbekistan, Niger, Cote d'Ivoire, Guinea, Syria, Morocco and Qatar, and grants from the Waqf Fund in favor of 6 Muslim communities in Bosnia- Herzegovina, India, US, Kenya and China. The board was also briefed on four other technical assistance projects approved by the IDB president during recently for Syria, Lebanon, Sudan and Kazakhstan. Dr. Ahmed Mohammed Ali, president, IDB, who chaired the board meeting, commended, among others, the productive results. __
