Mobily has decided to extend till the end of this year its Hawiyyati campaign, a company press release said Sunday. Mobily had launched the three-month campaign on last October to encourage its prepaid subscribers to update their personal data, and enter weekly draws to win 56 vehicles, including 45 Toyota Camry sedans, eight Toyota Land Cruiser SUVs and three grand prizes, Lexus LS 460 luxury sedans. Subscribers who take the initiative to keep their personal data up to date until the end of 2009 will also enter weekly draw that promise various prizes. Mobily had launched Hawiyyati in response to directives by the Saudi Communications and Information Technology Commission (CITC), which instructed all mobile operators in the Kingdom to urge their prepaid subscribers to keep their personal data up to date, thus protecting themselves from possible fraud and their phone lines from theft, and helping to maintain security in the Kingdom.
