Iyad Bin Amin Madani, Minister of Culture and Information, was on Thursday awarded the Arab Organization for Education, Culture and Science (ALESCO) medal. Dr. Al-Munji Busneinah, Director General of ALESCO, gave the medal to the minister and presented him with some of its recent publications. Madani visited the ALESCO headquarters here and was briefed on the programs and activities of the organization and the role it is carrying out in supporting Arab work in the education, culture and science fields. Earlier, Madani visited the Arab States Broadcasting Union (ASBU) and met with Dr. Salaheddin Ma'awi. They reviewed relations between ASBU and the Saudi broadcasting and television stations. Madani was briefed on the work and activities of the union. Madani praised the successes achieved by ASBU at the level of joint Arab work and wished the union and its staff more success and accomplishments. During his visits, Madani was accompanied by Dr. Riyadh Najm, Assistant Undersecretary in the Ministry of Culture and Information for Engineering Affairs.
