The General Organization for Technical Education and Vocational Training (GOTEVOT) will set up a new institution to give lessons on electronic and household appliances. The institution in Al-Diriyah region will begin functioning in October this year. A GOTEVOT team has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Japan Cooperation Center for the Middle East in this respect. Several Japanese companies who will be helping in the establishment of the institution were present at the signing ceremony here on Sunday. “The MoU provides for joint cooperation for the establishment of the Saudi Institute of Electronics and Home Appliances in Saudi Arabia where the Japanese side is to design curricula and programs of the institute and all related technical training materials,” Salem Bin Hassan Al-Asmari, head of the Saudi delegation that signed the MoU and supervisor of the project, said.
